ABOUT OUR TUTORS Rachel Harrison Rachel began playing the violin at 8 years old. When starting high school she became very involved in music activities both in school and out, becoming a member of Worcestershire Youth Orchestra and performing many concerts, including several at the Birmingham Symphony Hall. Rachel went on to study for a degree in Music at the University of Sheffield, graduating in July 2012 with a 2:1. Whilst at university she took part in many ensembles as well as a string quartet, with which she played at weddings and other events, including a performance at the prestigious Cutlers’ Hall in Sheffield. She was also fortunate enough to be a member of the Sheffield Chamber Choir, with which she recently sang at Ripon Cathedral. Rachel currently works at a local middle school and is very involved with the music department there. She also frequently returns to her high school to help out with music activities. In her free time, Rachel enjoys playing piano, guitar and singing. She is a member of Worcester Symphony Orchestra. |
